Digital competences in the modern economy

Abstract

The modern economy, increasingly referred to as the digital economy, is based on the intensive use of information and communication technologies (ICT), process automation, and the development of artificial intelligence. Digital competences are becoming a key factor in the competitiveness of individuals, organizations, and countries. The aim of this article is to analyze the role of digital competences in the context of sustainable economic development and to identify the relationship between the level of these competences and economic and environmental performance.
