Abstract

The article addresses the issue of environmental training of future teachers of natural sciences. It is found that the traditional system of environmental education is mostly limited to theory and requires strengthening the practical orientation of the content, forms and methods of teaching. The effectiveness of project activities, field research, experimentation, interactive technologies in the formation of environmental competence of higher education students is established. It is important to integrate the best European practices into professional environmental training through basic environmental education.
