Abstract

The theoretical and methodological foundations of the formation of a strategy for sustainable development of a territorial community are considered using the example of the city of Kyiv. The key environmental, social and economic factors influencing the sustainable development of a megalopolis are identified. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the current state of the urban environment, the natural resource management system, the quality of life of the population and the challenges of urbanization. The need to develop a comprehensive strategy that combines the principles of ecological balance, economic efficiency and social justice is substantiated. Conceptual approaches to strategic planning of community development in the context of global sustainable development goals are highlighted, taking into account local specifics, environmental load and the needs of the capital's residents. As a result, the importance of integrating scientific research, management practices and public participation in the process of developing and implementing a sustainable development strategy is emphasized
