ЕКОНОМІЧНІ ПЕРЕВАГИ СОРТУВАННЯ ПОБУТОВИХ ВІДХОДІВ В ПРИВАТНИХ ДОМОВОЛОДІННЯХ
Abstract
Waste management in rural areas of Ukraine is complicated by the lack of developed
infrastructure and the significant prevalence of unauthorized landfills. The article provides a
comparative analysis of the economic and environmental aspects of two approaches to waste sorting:
early sorting in households and sorting of mixed waste at landfills. The analysis was carried out on the
example of the village of Lypkuvativka, Novovodolazhsk community, Kharkiv region, where the
composition of waste was studied, the economic potential of secondary raw materials was assessed, and
the annual volume of community waste was determined. The results showed that early sorting provides
higher economic benefits and also helps reduce environmental risks.
