ЗАПРОВАДЖЕННЯ ОВД В УКРАЇНІ: ЕКОЛОГІЧНІ ПЕРЕВАГИ ТА НЕДОЛІКИ
Abstract
The introduction of the environmental impact assessment (EIA) procedure in Ukraine is
an important stage in harmonizing environmental legislation with European standards. EIA helps minimize environmental risks, increase business responsibility, and involve the public in making environmentally significant decisions. At the same time, the practice of its application has revealed problems, in particular, the formality of procedures, manipulation of public hearings, and insufficient control over compliance with environmental standards. Analysis of real cases shows that the effectiveness of EIA depends on the level of its implementation, and shortcomings in law enforcement can lead to significant environmental risks.
