Abstract
The article reveals the cultural and educational potential of ecological aesthetics as a
new direction of ecological education in general. It is about the need and possibilities of humanizing
ecological knowledge in the system of postgraduate education. Ecological aesthetics, created on the basis
of environmental philosophy and psychology, should fully enter the system of professional training and
retraining of specialists in the field of education and determine their readiness for effective ecological
and educational work. That is why a modern teacher absolutely needs ecological aesthetics as an updated
view of the philosophy of nature, which, firstly, will help build a personal attitude towards it on the basis
of subjectification of perceptions and assessments; secondly, will provide personal positioning in nature;
thirdly, will enable awareness of the genesis of one's own ecological consciousness and behavior at the
level of powerful reflection
