Abstract

Environmental education in an educational institution is an important tool for forming the environmental consciousness of students and youth, which is necessary to ensure the sustainable development of society. A modern approach to environmental education involves the integration of environmental topics into various academic disciplines, the use of innovative teaching methods, and the active participation of students in practical environmental projects. The article considers modern approaches to organizing environmental education in educational institutions, in particular through interactive learning, project methods, and involving students in real environmental actions. Special attention is paid to the role of teachers in the process of environmental education, as well as the analysis of international experience in this area. The prospects for the development of environmental education in Ukraine and recommendations for improving its effectiveness in educational institutions are determined.
