FORMATION OF ECOLOGICAL AWARENESS AMONG FOREIGN STUDENTS IN THE PROCESS OF LEARNING UKRAINIAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

Abstract

This article examines the process of developing ecological awareness among foreign students in the context of learning Ukrainian as a foreign language. The importance of integrating ecological themes into language training is highlighted, as it fosters not only language competence but also the formation of ecological values and responsible attitudes toward the environment. The paper outlines key methods and approaches to using ecological texts and resources in teaching, as well as the role of discussion tasks and authentic materials in developing critical thinking and communication skills. The integration of ecological aspects into language learning contributes to the development of intercultural competence and axiological orientation of students in the context of global sustainable development challenges
