Abstract

The article considers the possibilities of applying a synergistic approach to solid waste management (SWM) within the Vinnytsia urban territorial community. The main problems of the existing waste management system are identified, including an insufficient level of recycling, overloading of landfills, a low level of environmental awareness of the population and limited financial resources. The feasibility of implementing integrated management solutions that provide for intersectoral interaction between municipal authorities, business, public organizations and residents is substantiated. The application of a synergistic approach is considered as a tool for forming an adaptive, effective and environmentally safe MSW management system. Practical recommendations are presented for implementing a model of sustainable development of the waste sector in the context of decentralization and European integration processes
