The article discusses the most important environmental protection acts in force in Poland&#13;
since the 21st century. They concern sozological issues, mainly the protection of the atmosphere. The ordinances cover the rules of conduct of the population in cases of exceeded admissible concentrations of&#13;
air pollutants and plans of remedial actions.

The state, degree of preservation, structural and functional diversity, phytodiversity and features of Berlin's green infrastructure are highlighted. The degree of negative impact on the biodiversity of&#13;
the geographical area and ecosystem services is investigated. The tourist attractiveness of Berlin's districts&#13;
for calculating recreational pressure on the environment and green infrastructure is quantitatively and spatially assessed. The biodiversity picture, links with urbanization processes, air pollution, as well as the ability to provide ecosystem services to achieve global goals of biodiversity conservation and sustainable development in cities are analyzed.
